Comet ISON be closest to planet Mars in October 2013. If it survives it's closest encounter with Sun in November then it will pass through the Earth at closest point in the end of December 2013 giving it's most spectacular bright look in the night on Earth.
Comet ISON went behind to Sun in space from observers on Earth in last few months and it becomes faint to hubble space telescope to locate it in the solar system. However it comes into focus of space telescope in the mid of August.
Latest observations on Comet ISON tells that it is still alive in it's journey to Sun in the solar system. Comet ISON is a visitor to solar system from Oort cloud situated at solar system's outskirt region. ISON is faint than expected before. It is ISON's first ever journey to the Sun and it is having a very close approach to Sun giving chances of doubt for it's possible encounter with Sun at it's closest reach to the star in November 2013.
Comet ISON is Sun grazing comet and it will pass by 850000 miles close to Sun. Sun grazing comets are seen as completly ripped by gravitional tides at perihelion (closest point of reach to the Sun). Last survived Sun grazing comet Lovejoy reached to the perihelion on 15th December 2011.
