A Volvo bus caught fire at Banglore (Bengaluru) to Mumbai highway in the late night near Haveri in Karnataka. This is a second fire tragedy within a month broke out in long route ac buses travelling between metro cities.
In a similar incident a Volvo AC bus caught fire in it's way from Banglore to Hyderabad few days back. Experts blamed the fire originated from the fuel tank that takes lives of its passengers including 5 IBM employees.
A Pune based MNC techie Prashanth Pandey used his head to break the pan of Volvo bus to get out from the burning bus. His brave effort saved other passengers life from the threat.
The Volvo bus caught fire after getting hit by a divider near Haveri. Total 48 passengers were travelling from Banglore to Mumbai in the bus when fire tragedy broke out.
