Arvind Kejriwal fulfills manifesto 2013 promise to give free water to every household in Delhi 

Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal makes the announcement of 666 lts free water per day to every household in Delhi on Monday, 30 December 2013. The announcement of free water comes at the happening evening of the new year 2014. Free water is the first gift from Aam Aadmi Party governement to Delhi. It is one of the promise made by the party during assembly elections last month.

Delhi Jal Board officers hold a meeting with Arvind Kejriwal at his house following his bad health. Arvind Kejriwal is down with fever. He tweeted about his commitment to the announcement early in the day. The official announcement of free water quota comes by the evening after the meeting.

Aam Aadmi Party leaders hopeful to meet their promises made in their manifesto in coming months. Another important promise to reduce the electricity bill 50% from present charges to take place after meeting with private owners.

Arvind Kejriwal is the first chief minister to take oath in public ceremony at Ram Leela maidan last week.

In today's announcement, every household will not be charged upto 20,000 lts water consumption in a month. But, every extra quantity of water will be charged full in water bill for the household.
